Bob szantyr


ABOUT

Bob Szantyr is a polydisciplinary artist based in New York, NY. His work is centered in the home space, the sentimentality of its contents, and the beliefs on which it is founded—safety, stability, containment, separation. Szantyr received an MFA in painting and drawing from CUNY Brooklyn College in 2019 and a BFA in studio art from New York University in 2009. In 2018 he was in a two person exhibition with L.G. White at Galerie Jan Dhaese in Ghent, Belgium. Szantyr has also shown at Ladislav Sutnar Gallery in Plzen, CZ, Cultural Center of Mechelen in Mechelen, Belgium Regina Mundi Cloister in Genk, Belgium, Black Ball Projects in Brooklyn, New York, Underdonk in Brooklyn, New York, and Kurant in Tromsø, Norway.
